Our Story
The founders of fixTranslation.com are avid internet consumers, who have been engaged in online commerce and merchandising since the 1990’s. As global commerce has expanded tremendously over the years, it has become commonplace for an average consumer to make purchases directly from a merchant who communicates in a different native language.
As this great opportunity for both consumers and global businesses has unfolded, we observed that it also had carried a great challenge. Merchants who do not natively communicate in English often do not have access to translation services that do a quality job of creating content for consumption by consumers in the U.S., U.K., and other primarily English-speaking markets. We have seen the catastrophic impact this can have on businesses, as even the most professional merchants with the best products can have the reputation of their business undermined by substandard language used in their customer communications.
We have always been very passionate in the belief that this is problem that is very easily fixed, and that it is a huge waste that reputations of businesses can be so heavily damaged by poorly translated language that could be “cleaned-up” with minimal effort. We felt so strongly about this that we decided to do something to help make things right…and so began fixTranslation.com!
Who We Are
The team at fixTranslation.com is based in the U.S., and consists of professionals in the field of Business Technology. All of our writers have had 10+ years of experience as technology managers in Top 10 U.S. Fortune 500 corporations, with extensive experience in developing communications and documentation for all audiences, ranging from end-users to suppliers to CIOs. Our team also has extensive background in SMB (small and Medium Business) eCommerce, including website and platform development.
